Pencil Case again..

The autobiography of the pencil case. It's not a straightforward plan and sew story. A few month ago i get inspired with this Dresden petal handbag below. So i cut and sew and almost attaching the handles to my bag when i discover that it is too small; even my purse can't fit in the bag. So, i put it aside with hope that someday i get the idea on what to do with it.
Until last week when my sister request for a pencil case similar to the one that i make for Ariz and Kay; inspired from Ayumills of the Pink Penguin, i tot that the bag might be useful after all.I use the outer part of the bag and attached additional panel as the base (see the horizontal panel at the lower part but please do not see the visible stich below the watermark..). When i tried to attached the triangle sides it turns out ugly so i decided to just topstitch straight on the edges. So here it goes! my rectangular pencil case. I hope my sister still want it and do not demand for a better one.

PLEATED SKIRT SEWALONG WITH MAYA

Teruja sgt nak jahit skirt walopun xde girl dlm umah ni melainkan saya sahaja (tetiba perasan dlm blog ni kejap aku, kejap saya). Buang tebiat lah kan kalo pakai skirt pendek pleated plak tu dlm umah..haha..xleh nak imagine..


Nasib baiklah one of my bff merangkap my neighbour, Ifah ada 2 org girl yg kiut2 yg boleh menjadi model inspirasi. So, skirt ni sy buat khas utk Dhiya yg comel tu, tak tau lah mcmana jd nya..muat ke idak..harap2 elok (lg cun kalo boleh snap gambo n tepek kat blog ni..huhu).

Cara buat? Hoho..sy mmg freehander lah sgt. Saya main gunting ikut suka aje. Sy guna kain Darla Tanya Whelan gunting 6 keping yg besar 5inci dan 6 keping yg kecik 3 inci. Utk girl umur 3-4 tahun..materialnya ialah kurang skit dari 1/2 ela kain dan 1/4 ela untuk pleat dalam tu.Labuh nya sy pun dah lupa. Then cantum sumer2nya jahit guna kekdah french seam sbb malas nak anto kelim. So agak berbonggol lah skit bila jahit atas lipatan. Memula sy cadang nak pleat 6x, alih2 jd 4x aje sbb tetiba je skirt tu jd sempit. (nasib baik Pah kata Dhiya kurus so maybe bleh muat). Oleh kerana dah jd sempit terpaksalah sy buat zip plak..pastu cantum pinggang separa getah. Jadi cerewet lah pulak bla masuk bab pinggang n zip. Anyway, sy manage utk siapkan dgn agak cepat sbb mlm ni sy x masak..hehe..

SEW IT BABY BOOTIES to Give Away

Click hereWhen i saw the cute booties featured in Zura's SEWRETROCHIC, i can't stop the urge to sew one. This is not my first attempt as i've made one reversible booties a few months ago but i'm not satisfied with the result. It turns out too small and and kind of disfigured. One cannot tell which one is right and which is left. The pairs ends up in my stash bin. Totally unwearable.

I'm using Joel Dewberry's Chestnut Hill for both pairs. For the newest pair, the lining are remnants from Ariz's sleep pants.

Now i've completed a wearable one, i don't know who shall be the proud owner of it. So readers, if you have or expecting a newborn and you feel like you want it, do contact me. I'll be happy to deliver it to you; FOC. The sole measures 4inches and i think it can fit a newborn's 3 inch feet.
